Advisory services veteran joins leading nanotechnology research firm
New York, NY - October 13, 2004
Lux Research, Inc., the world’s premier research and advisory firm focusing on the business and economic impact of nanotechnology, announced today that Rob Burns had been hired as its Vice President, Sales.
Rob will lead Lux Research’s direct sales organization and manage the company’s relationships with worldwide clients and distributors. His team focuses on delivering value to Lux Research’s primary clients: large corporations, institutional investors, nanotechnology startups, and government and economic development organizations.
Rob has spent the last 12 years in corporate sales and executive leadership positions. Rob comes to Lux Research from Gartner Group [IT], where he previously served as Global Account Manager and was one of the firm’s top 5 producing sales executives worldwide. Before Gartner, he served as Datastream Software’s Regional Director for the Northeast US and Eastern Canada, and a Sales Executive at ADP [ADP]. Rob has a B.S. in Economics from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. in International Business from The George Washington University.
