Abstract:
With school out for the summer, those of us who remain at the university year-round are suffering from empty classroom syndrome. Maybe that's why two stories in the June 13 edition of the Pioneer Press jumped out at me as teachable moments. In the first, "Getting to the particulars of nanotech," Jennifer Bjorhus effectively introduces readers to nanotechnology. As she points out, its definition depends in part on who's doing the defining.
