Better Building Blocks

Abstract:
Two days ago we reviewed CRN's proposed study #8, regarding the steps needed to develop a complete manufacturing system based on diamondoid vacuum mechanosynthesis. That currently appears to be the most promising approach, but there are others to consider. Studies #9 and #10 would examine, respectively, the potential for development of nucleic acid manufacturing, and for harnessing biology to produce engineered products.
