What is Nanotechnology?

Abstract:
Ask 100 people this question and you'll get 11 different answers; 90 people will say "I have no idea", and the other ten will give you varying definitions. Lately we've been talking with a lot of people who have little awareness of nanotech, so we've had to answer the question many times.
