Carbon Nano TVs
Abstract:
Could your television become as thin as a picture hanging on a wall? Researchers at DuPont and Motorola are on the case. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) - microscopic cylinders made up of a mesh of individual carbon atoms - may be the key. Their unique properties have caught the imagination of scientists for everything from superconductors to tools for making nanotechnology components. One of the most promising applications is a thin panel called a field emitter display (FED).
