Twelve leading-edge innovations: Creating opportunities for Germany
Abstract:
"The twelve leading-edge innovations we have selected certainly do not represent all fields of importance to the future, " explains Prof. Hans-Jörg Bullinger, President of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. "However, we can point to where the best opportunities lie for Germany as an industrial location." Cost savings alone will not make German companies more competitive. Competition from low-wage countries must be countered with innovation - leading-edge products, processes and services. For a high-wage country such as Germany, there is no alternative.
