Abstract:
Halas and her startup, Nanospectra Biosciences Inc., may be under the radar screen, but probably not for long. Halas’ drive, ingenuity and ability to convince everyone from entrepreneurs to the Defense Department that metallic nanoshells will play a role in future medical care and electronics is catapulting the technology forward.
