Nanotechnology: it's ours to lose

Abstract:
While the UK government has just announced a new £90M nanotechnology initiative, the number looks less significant when compared with the combined German government and corporate investment. More worrying, perhaps, is the lack of any significant commercial activity by Europe's other great economies.
