Mecwins has designed a versatile and modular platform, SCALA, based on the combination of automated two-dimensional scanning of a laser beam and the acquisition of the reflected laser beam on a photodetector. The association of both allows the reconstruction of the analyzed surface topography, of virtually any reflective object being analyzed. Micro-cantilever sensors, surface characterization, biosensors, etc... are some of the many different applications that can be characterized with SCALA.
