Nanotechnology crosses the fields of biology, chemistry, physics and material science. The field has potential applications in electronics, medicine, communications and manufacturing. Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt has brought together a key group of lawyers from our corporate and intellectual property and patent practice groups to create the first Nanotechnology/Microtechnology Practice Group in the Pacific Northwest.

The formation of the Nanotechnology/Microtechnology Practice at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt follows a new alliance among Oregon's three largest public universities, the Governor's office, the state's congressional delegation, legislature and industry that has targeted a key new area of economic opportunity for the Pacific Northwest.
