Plastics are an integral part of our every-day-use in our lives.... Be it in the home or away from home we see many of the applications lose their original color due to wear and tear / lack of proper cleaning cycles.... Just imagine you are able to just bring in the new image by cleaning with a wet cloth.... it is possible now....

Plastic and Nano - A Brand new image
Plastic is the collective term for those materials which consist of materials which contain synthetically or semi-synthetically generated polymers with organic (carbon) groups. An outstanding attribute of plastics in general is that technical properties such as formability, hardness, elasticity, breaking strength, temperature resistance and chemical resistance, to name a few, can be easily diversified through the selection of the base material, the manufacturing process and the usage of additives.
It is impossible to imagine our daily life without plastics. They have changed our life like no other group of materials. Without plastics we wouldn't have cars, aircrafts, computers, Tupperware, etc, etc. Many technical inventions and developments were only feasible once various plastics were invented; however it is important to recognize that the properties of plastic materials can be optimized by applying Nano coatings.
The Applications of Plastic come in various ways. In most of them the cleanliness becomes a very important one. Also they help in retaining the new image for many years… Protect the substrate from contaminations and etching stains. Surfaces repel water, oil and others heralding a Easy-to-clean effect

How Nanotechnology can help out?
We have seen that hydrophobic relation on a plastic will create much needed relief to the user not only in having Easy-to-Clean effect but also an environment friendly situation. Some of the Nano Products are water based, ultra thin, transparent particle free nano layer coating for plastics. They use molecular bonding to form a super-phobic coating. Thus they protect the surface from contamination and permanent etching stains. Conventional repellent chemicals like Silicone and Teflon and Fluorocarbons are not necessary. They protect and preserve the Plastic without altering the natural color. Water runs off easily from the treated surface and dirt particles are washed off. They do not change the slip resistance of plastic and therefore does not create a slippery surface. The coating is highly durable and resistant to domestic solvents and abrasives. Results have found that the Nano Products are ideal for Computers, skylights, aero plane windows, motor bike windshields, marine applications, domestic surfaces and healthcare environments
India is a vast country; with multiple cultures and large population. I always felt that the population can used to create opportunities… Nanotechnology is an area which creates New Markets, New Opportunities and New products…
Some of the Applications on Plastic that people in India will look forward to are as under:
* Hydrophobic and oleophobic
* Long-lasting and durable refinement
* Enormous abrasion resistance
* Easy spray application
* Free of soluble
* Short drying period
* Ecologically sound
* High temperature resistance
* Non-corrosive and non-irritating
* lasting hygienic protection
* No change on the visual effect and haptic
With Nanotechnology promising Market Ready Products we will be able to bring in consumer surplus creating easy-to-clean effect…. Or more popularly the lotus effect…
A great positive response; the Nano coated Plasic has created a great awareness among the manufacturers who are thirsting for a product of this nature which will take a great deal of easy-clean-effect to the end-users…
Kudos to Nanotechnology products for bringing this perfect brand new image for Plastics
