American Society for Microbiology (ASM) is joining “2nd International Conference on Infectious Diseases and Nanomedicine-2015 (ICIDN-2015)” as the Supportive Organization. The ICIDN-2015 will be held in Kathmandu, Nepal from Dec 15-18, 2015.

The preparation of 2nd International Conference on Infectious Diseases and Nanomedicine -2015 (ICIDN-2015) scheduled to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal from December 15 to 18, 2015 is in progress. The organizer of this international meeting are Nepalese Forum for Medical Microbiology (NFMM), Kathmandu which is the only official member society of International Union of Microbiological Societies (IUMS) to Nepal, Nepal Polymer Institute (NPI), Kathmandu, the only national representative organization of International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) to Nepal and CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence for Biotechnology (CoEBio), Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. Official media partners of this event are Nanotechnology Now (USA) and BREK Solutions (UK). The European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) is the supporter of ICIDN-2015. Now, the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), the oldest and largest single life science membership organization in the world based at Washington, DC, USA is joining the ICIDN-2015 international meeting as a supportive organization, according to a press release issued by the organizers.

Santosh Thapa (PhD Scholar in the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC), Fort Worth, USA), Co-convener of the event, said that “the support of ASM is simply great particularly for promoting microbial science activities in Nepal”. Mr. Thapa further mentioned “The support of ASM in-turn will provide further encouragement to the young, budding microbiologist of Nepal and the region and acknowledged the support of ASM leadership in Washington DC”.
