Over 8 nanotechnology-based plans and achievements were presented in the National Exhibition and Festival on 'Herbal Medicine, Natural Products, and Iranian Traditional Medicine'.

In the First National Exhibition and Festival on Herbal Medicine, Natural Products, and Iranian Traditional Medicine, more than 1000 innovative plans, products, and herbal medicines were presented, among which eight plans and products were related to the nanotechnology field.

Nanotechnology-based plans presented in the festival included 'synthesis of insecticides from herbal oils by using nano-emulsion', 'formulation of anti-pest nano-capsule for Artemisia plant', 'processing of flavors by using nanotechnology', and 'natural herbicides based on nanotechnology'.

In addition, a number of products, including nanotechnology-based fertilizers, foodstuff packaging based on nanotechnology, and fragrant antibacterial nano breathing mask were put on display in Exhibition on Herbal Medicine, Natural Products, and Iranian Traditional Medicine.

Also, the Agriculture Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran participated in the exhibition and introduced 'Nano-Kit to Diagnose AWB Illness' in addition to presenting its achievements in the field of herbal medicine.

Over 200 knowledge-based companies from the private sector participated in the First Exhibition and Festival on Herbal Medicine, Natural Products, and Iranian Traditional Medicine in the fields of the production of natural products, herbal pharmaceutics, pharmaceutics based on traditional medicine, production of essence, scent, distillate, rosewater, healthy products, food supplements, medicine and food packaging, companies that produce equipment, machinery, infusion industry, and the manufacturers of various products in the fields such as colorants, flavors, and insecticides, and they presented their achievements.
