NanoMech Invited to Participate in the Obama Administration’s Materials Genome Initiative Event: Event created to accelerate and emphasize the importance of America’s leadership in advanced materials science

Fayetteville, AR | Posted on May 16th, 2012

The Materials Genome Initiative is part of President Obama's goal to reduce by 50% the cost and time of creating new materials in such industries as Energy, Aerospace, Transportation, Body Armor, and Smart Manufacturing, and to create new industries and knowledge jobs.

NanoMech is a leading designer and manufacturer of nanoparticle coatings, additives, and coating application systems for the heavy manufacturing, defense, energy, and automotive industries. NanoMech's products include TuffTek®, nGlide®, and nGuard®.

Dr. Cyrus Wadia, Office of Science and Technology Policy Assistant Director for Clean Energy and Materials Research and Development said, "We were delighted that NanoMech and their CEO Jim Phillips and CTO Ajay Malshe could be with us for this announcement and participate in our breakout strategy meetings."

Ten Federal agencies that participate in the National Nanotechnology Initiative unveiled a new "signature initiative" to stimulate the development of models, simulation tools, and databases that will enable the prediction of specific characteristics of nanoscale materials.
