Abstract:
The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources of Tehran University, in association with the Nanotechnology Committee of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, is scheduled to hold the First National Conference on Application of Nanotechnology in Agriculture and Natural Resources on May 15-16, 2012.
The organizers of the conference intend to create an appropriate environment to exchange idea and to persuade researchers to carry out applicable projects in the field of the application of nanotechnology in agriculture.
Presentation of the latest scientific achievements in the field of nanotechnology applications in agriculture industry and the use of this technology in order to solve the problems in agriculture in the country are among the objectives of the conference.
The scopes that will be discussed in the conference are as follows:
o Nanotechnology and herbal products (agriculture, gardening, and herbal medicine)
o Nanotechnology and animal products (animal sciences, veterinary, fishery, and aquaculture)
o Nanotechnology application in agriculture and food industry machinery
o Nanotechnology in water and soil
o Nanotechnology in natural resources and environment (watershed, forestry, and pasture keeping)
o Economical and social aspects of nanotechnology in agriculture and natural resources
o Nanobiotechnology
o Ethics, risk taking, and standardization
Parallel to this conference, there will be held three educational workshops entitled 'Nanomaterials in Agriculture and Natural Resources', 'Intelligent Release and Its Application in Agriculture and Natural Resources', and 'Nanobiosensors'.
Researchers, professors, and university students are required to submit their article abstracts to the secretariat of the conference by the end of the working hours of February 19, 2012.
