Abstract:
Nineteen knowledge-based companies in Iran joined the Tech-Market Services Corridor in November and December 2011.
Following the participation of Tech-Market Services Corridor in the Fourth Nanotechnology Festival in October, the number of the admitted companies showed a 30% increase in comparison with a similar period in the early months of the current year and reached 19.
Among the companies that are active in the field of nanotechnology, there are eight industrial companies, six companies located in growth centers, three companies active in the field of equipment, and two technologists. Pursuant to the joining of the said companies, the number of accepted companies in Tech-Market Services Corridor since the beginning of its career reached 108 with 168 products.
It must be pointed out that the said 19 companies have been referred to Technology/Product Evaluation Station in order to enter the process for receiving technology development services. This station studies the relation between the companies' products and nanotechnology.
Tech-Market Services Corridor was established by Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council in order to discover, organize, and complete the missing chain of nanotechnology commercialization. In form of a structure containing 16 stations, the corridor provides technology development services for the knowledge-based companies in order to facilitate the commercialization of their products.
