INIC Adopts New Approach to Promote Nanotechnology in Industrial Fields
Tehran, Iran | Posted on July 20th, 2011
During the meeting, university student groups and promotional bodies in association with the experts of the INIC Promotion and Public Education Workgroup discussed and exchanged ideas about the new approach of INIC in the field of the promotion of nanotechnology among Iranian industries.
One of the problems in the application of novel technologies in industries is that the industrialists do not have a proper understanding of exactly what sort of problems do the novel technologies solve, and what cost the industrialist must pay in return. On the other hand, since the industrial manufacturing of the new products requires the investment and financial support of the grand industries and consuming market, Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council has devised a new program to promote the industrial applications of nanotechnology in order to achieve the abovementioned objectives.
Amir Qorbanali, Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council's expert, explained the new approach of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council, which is based on paying more attention to industrial promotion and various aspects of this plan.
"The industrial promotion plan will be carried out by putting emphasis on the eight issues with high priority, including agricultural and food industry, water and environment, petroleum and energy, health and hygiene, automobile, building, textile, and laboratory equipment," he said.
"The main mission of the industrial promotion plan is to increase the awareness and to provide information for the public, and to facilitate the creation of connection between researchers, industries, and the related sections of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council."
The seminars of promotional bodies are held by Promotion Workgroup of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council in one of the Iranian universities in order to increase the interaction between the bodies and also to benefit from their opinions and capabilities in the advancement of nanotechnology promotional objectives in the country.
