Blood-clotting technology could be a lifesaver in the field

Abstract:
Nanosys Inc.'s tiny technology may soon be making a big impact during emergencies and on battlefields.

The Palo Alto nanotechnology company expects to receive final approval by the end of December from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its medical product — a traumatic hemostat that, unlike existing products, doesn't have to be refrigerated because it's made of inorganic material.
