Abstract:
A common challenge for business managers has been finding qualified consultants to solve business growth and operational issues. Those needs may be in the areas of corrugated machinery, energy efficiency, financial services, or a host of paper mill issues. TAPPI has created the TAPPI Consulting Council, or TCC, as a trustworthy source for industry professionals challenged with finding specialty consultants in their functional areas.

New TAPPI Consulting Council Connects Clients with Industry Experts

Norcross, GA | Posted on October 19th, 2010

"The TAPPI Consulting Council is an invaluable benefit for those who may need consulting on a variety of topics related to the paper, packaging and converting industries," said Larry N. Montague, president and CEO of TAPPI. "When industry professionals are seeking expertise, they now have a one-stop resource for finding answers quickly and easily. They will know that they're reaching out to the top experts in the industry when they come to the TAPPI Consulting Council for advice and experience."

This referral resource connects TAPPI-member consultants who have subject-matter expertise in business and technical areas of the pulp, paper and converting industries with professionals facing unmet or underserved needs. TCC identifies and qualifies consultants to assist fellow industry professionals to address business growth challenges and day-to-day operational issues.

The TCC members are TAPPI members themselves. In addition to actual experience, they have submitted to a formal application and review process. All contracts are executed directly between the consultants and the clients.

This screened referral service enables TAPPI members with unmet needs to work with fellow TCC peers who have needed skills and experience. Nonmembers can feel confident selecting TCC consultants as a trusted resource. As potential clients, both members and non-members recognize that they are hiring qualified professionals.

Areas of expertise include: Bio-energy, Business Development, Coating, Corrugated/Converting, Energy Efficiency, Financial Services, Flexible Packaging, Management/Leadership, Nanotechnology, Nonwovens, Printing, Pulp and Paper, Recruiters, Recycling and Sustainability.

Created in the spring of 2010, TCC continues to add consults to its bank of resources. Visit www.tappi.org/tcc to learn more about our consultants.
