CEA-Leti Partners Win Business Creation Awards From Ministry for Higher Education and Research
Grenoble, France | Posted on September 16th, 2010
The winning projects, which are start-up companies, are:
* ASELTA Nanographics, awarded the Best Innovative Technologies Company in the Creation Development Category.
The objective of ASELTA Nanographics is to conceive and commercialize new software that reduces production costs of new generation sub-32nm integrated circuits. The key idea is to improve the precision of the fab process, including cycle time and lithography image quality. ASELTA's Inscale software was developed within CEA-Leti's Lithography Laboratory in Grenoble. This project is managed by Serdar Manakli, who works in Leti's DRT/Nanotechnology Department and Lithography Lab. It was supported by CEA Investment.
* ETHERA, managed by Yves Bigay, former technology transfer manager of the CEA Division for Material Sciences, won an award for Best Innovative Company in the Creation Development Category.
ETHERA develops and commercializes simple solutions for measuring and disposing of chemical pollutants. These solutions are based on the technology of porous color sensors developed by Thu-Hoa Tran-Thi of the Francis Perrin Laboratory (CEA-CNRS). ETHERA focuses in particular on the hygiene and security markets, as well as the air quality inside public and privates places. CEA-Leti is also a partner of ETHERA.
The Business Creation Contest, which was launched in 1999, helps launch more than 100 new companies annually.
