Technologies of the future for daily use
Abstract:
The Russian Nanotechnology Corporation has turned three. Rusnano (the Corporation's acronym) has summed up the results and has held a conference, attended by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. He also visited an exhibition on the corporation's premises, an exhibition that speaks volumes of what has been achieved over the period.
The Corporation is currently drawing up almost a hundred projects, including the production of super thin solar batteries, a carbonic fabric, a special-purpose TV-set player that will help foot bills straight from homes and will even make it possible to talk with officials.
There is a stand that's been specially assigned to display organism-rejuvenating preparations. The Prime Minister was also shown a microchip that will soon replace barcodes in supermarkets and will eliminate the jobs of cashiers. This is sufficient evidence that Rusnano has proven its worth. The Prime Minister pointed out that every effort should be made to make the Russian nano-industry competitive and much in demand.
