Two firms win federal funds

Abstract:
Firms using ultrasound to encourage cell growth and sonic energy to upgrade heavy oil received a $542,000 boost Tuesday for their work at the University of Alberta's nanotechnology research centre.

More than two dozen companies are now clustered at the National Institute for Nanotechnology (NINT), organizations with recognized expertise in creating technology using the world's tiniest particles.
