Carl Zeiss Ltd. acquires Imaging Associates Ltd.
UK | Posted on May 12th, 2010
Carl Zeiss Ltd has agreed to acquire Imaging Associates Ltd. as part of its continuing investment into customer support and service delivery.
Imaging Associates (IMAS) has been supporting digital imaging platforms in research, clinical and industrial environments and distributing the Carl Zeiss materials microscopy range in the UK since 1992. The company, with its offices in Bicester, will be fully integrated within the Carl Zeiss organisation and continue to support customers in the industrial and materials microscopy markets.
The IMAS team will also contribute its expertise in software application development and support of digital imaging platforms across the entire Carl Zeiss microscopy product portfolio and to the rapidly expanding installed product base.
The microscopy product portfolio of Carl Zeiss presents an ideal platform for providing customer-specific solutions. Four new materials microscopy products have been brought to the market recently and will form part of the Carl Zeiss display at MicroScience 2010, which begins on June 28th at London's ExCeL conference and exhibition centre.
