JPK announces the appointment of new UK & Ireland Sales Manager

Berlin | Posted on April 7th, 2010

Dr. Field gained a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Bristol in 1997. He remained at Bristol as a post graduate researcher, studying novel routes to chiral phosphines for use in catalysis gaining a PhD in organic chemistry in 2001. His first commercial role was as Applications Scientist and Customer Care Manager for Applied Photophysics, a company specialising in the manufacture of spectroscopy equipment for research laboratories. Following that, Field held sales management positions at Veeco Instruments (metrology equipment) and ionscope (Scanning Ion Conductance Microscopy).

Welcoming Dr. Field to the organisation, JPK's General Sales Manager, Dr. Gerd Behme, said he is looking forward to seeing the continued success of the sales and support team based in Cambridge. "Rob brings a wealth of experience through working in highly technical and applications driven markets and we are happy he has chosen to continue his career with us."

The goal of JPK Instruments is to provide customers dealing with questions on the nanoscale with the best instruments and best services for their needs by bridging the worlds of nanotechnology tools and life science applications with cutting-edge technology and unique applications expertise. The product range has grown from an AFM designed specifically for bio applications to include exciting new instruments such as the world's first integrated optical tweezers platform, the NanoTracker™ and an automated platform to study force interactions at the molecular level with the ForceRobot®.
