Nanotech conference begins today, expects to draw hundreds

Abstract:
At least 250 academic and businesspeople with an interest in nanotechnology will meet in Greensboro beginning today at the North Carolina Nanotechnology Commercialization Conference.

For the Triad, it's another way to change the economy, create new businesses and offer higher-paying jobs to a decimated work force.

"The conference is a way for us to showcase some of the good things that are going on in nanotechnology," said Ed Kitchen, vice president and COO of the Joseph M. Bryan Foundation.
