A new way to properly dispose of nanoparticles?
Abstract:
UK researchers have uncovered a new discovery that may help to better manage nanoparticles in consumer products—especially when it comes to wastewater treatments plants.
Principal Scientist Helen Jarvie with the Wallingford, Oxfordshire-based Centre for Ecology & Hydrology and lead author of the study told the Cleantech Group today that the experts think nanoparticles may have harmful effects on the environment and human health. Jarvie called it a "knowledge gap" that's getting some attention and funding by the UK government.
