Safer food call by MEP

Abstract:
Radcliffe-based MEP Gary Titley has backed plans to make food safer.

The European Parliament has proposed an update to EU laws to improve food safety by banning the sale of food from cloned animals and their descendants.

It also calls for more rigorous testing of food produced using nanotechnology.
