Green Earth Technologies (Pink Sheets:GETG) is saddened by the passing of Bradford D. Smith, a member of their board of directors. Smith was appointed as an independent director of the board in April 2008, and served on the audit/compliance committee.

"We are deeply saddened by the sudden death of Brad Smith, who devoted his life to many philanthropic endeavors and truly believed in the mission of Green Earth Technologies," said Jeff Marshall, President and CEO of Green Earth Technologies. "On behalf of all of our employees and the board of directors, I extend our deepest sympathy to his entire family. We were truly fortunate to have him on our board and he will be missed."
Bradford D. Smith began his career as a money manager on Wall Street. He founded Atlantic Capital Management, which grew to encompass investment banking and venture capital financing until he sold it in 2006. Mr. Smith's diverse philanthropic board experience includes serving on the Boards of the New York Zoological Society, The Denver Zoo, The Edward John Noble Foundation, The Georgia Conservancy, The Charles Lindbergh Foundation, the Sundance Institute, The Sundance Preserve, Eaglebrook School, and St. Catherine's Island Foundation (co-chair). He also accepted a nomination to the Business Council for the United Nations. He is a graduate of Columbia University and attended the New York Institute of Finance. Smith died on October 3rd, at the age of 50.
