TechConnect World 2009 Matches Tomorrow's Technology Solutions with Today's Business Needs for Clean-Technology, Biotechnology and Nanotechnology

Houston, TX | Posted on October 27th, 2008

The Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI), and the Clean Technology and Sustainable Industries Organization (CTSI), today announced that the 2009 TechConnect World Conference and Expo will take place May 3-7, 2009 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.

TechConnect World is an information and networking exchange where executives from Fortune 500 companies present technological challenges in the areas of Clean-technology (such as traditional energy, renewable energy, and sustainability), Nanotechnology, and Biotechnology - to the academic and research communities - who in turn, discuss how their current research projects might be applied or adapted to address the needs presented.

"As the largest event in the United States focusing on research, development and commercialization, TechConnect World 2009 will match executives from companies like BASF, Honda, Kodak, Merck, Sanyo and many others -- with the research and business communities that are best suited to address their needs," said Bart Romanowicz, Executive Director of NSTI. "We're expecting more than 5,000 people from around the globe to join us in Houston -- making this event the largest conference and expo we've produced to date."

In addition to the Fortune 500 and research communities, TechConnect World also attracts an array of venture capital & investment firms, government agencies, and trade associations who are interested in learning how tomorrow's solutions will be applied to today's needs. The Exposition -- which features several international pavilions - is expected to host more than 400 companies, universities, equipment manufacturers and solutions providers. These exhibitors will meet with thousands of prospects and potential buyers, who come to the expo to evaluate the latest technology and services.
