FUJIFILM Recording Media U.S.A., Inc. today announced that media manufactured by Fujifilm for the new Sun StorageTekô T10000B Tape Drive is capable of storing up to three terabytes (TB) of data (using industry standard 3:1 compression). The media for the new Sun StorageTek T10000B provides superior levels of enterprise tape storage performance with 120 MB/sec native transfer rate.

This announcement highlights Fujifilm's manufacturing and thin-film coating expertise, building on the advances of Fujifilm NANOCUBIC technology. Today, data storage systems contain volumes of critical customer and/or business information. Three terabytes of storage is considered enough to hold the digitized content from a single academic research library.
