Manchester, UK | Posted on June 12th, 2008

Nanoco Technologies and KISCO Ltd (KISCO) will be shaping the future together with the signing of a distribution agreement appointing KISCO as the exclusive Asian distributor of Nanocoís advanced quantum dots materials.

Next generation electronic applications will be the first to benefit from this collaboration as KISCO begin by working with Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese electronics customers to incorporate Nanocoís quantum dots into products including electroluminescent quantum dot displays (ìEL-QDî), solid state lighting and photovoltaic devices.

Nanoco is unique in the nanomaterials market as a company that manufactures large quantities of quantum dots, using its patented manufacturing process. The bulk manufacture of quantum dots provides technology companies around the world the platform to develop a wide variety of next-generation products. Nanocoís development of high performance RoHS compliant cadmium free quantum dots is seen as a key breakthrough towards adoption of quantum dot technology in industrial applications.

Yoshinori Kishimoto, Kiscoís President stated "KISCO has built its business through providing excellent support and service to our customers who have come to rely on us to introduce new, world-leading materials to their business. Nanoco's platform quantum dot technology will become increasingly important in our customers' display, solar cell, solid state lighting and bio-medical products and it was important for KISCO to build a strong relationship with the global technology leader to ensure our customers have access to Nanocoís world leading materials."

Nanoco has appointed KISCO as their exclusive Asian distributor based on KISCO's proven ability to launch new materials into the market and their strong reputation in Asia.

"We are very excited to be working with such a forward looking company as KISCO to continue our development in Asia." said Dr Michael Edelman, CEO of Nanoco Technologies Ltd, "KISCO has very strong relationships with Asian Tier 1 electronics companies and we are confident that the combination of Nanoco's world leading quantum dot technology with KISCO's customer relationships and Asian infrastructure will provide customers with excellent technical, commercial and logistic support needed to ensure new QD (quantum dot) based products and applications are a success."
With an initial focus on the electronics industry, this agreement will begin to shape the future of display, LED and solar cell products. Providing customers with the new possibilities that are opened up by advanced materials, Nanoco and KISCO will be enabling new products to come to market that bring benefits to all.
