Iran, China sign geology MoU

Abstract:
Iran has signed a memorandum of understanding with China for expanded cooperation in mineral discoveries and other geological ventures.

The move aims to foster geological studies and natural mineral discoveries between Iran and China, including analyses of geophysics data as well as geological surveys of gold, copper, lead and zinc mines of smaller scale.

Both sides say they hope such interaction will contribute to increased collaboration in related fields including nanotechnology and data banks, as well as in geochemistry, geophysics, mineral surveys, medical geology and experimental analysis.
