Intersolar North America Draws International Participation
SAN FRANCISCO, CA | Posted on April 24th, 2008
With just three short months until Intersolar North America begins in San Francisco, Solar Promotion International GmbH is pleased to announce an overwhelming participation by international exhibitors. Seventy-five percent of exhibitor space has been booked and nearly half of the registered exhibitors will be from overseas; attracted to the show based on the well-regarded reputation and continued growth of Intersolar's original exhibition, Intersolar Europe, and an increasing relevance of the United States for the world solar industry.
Intersolar Europe has already established itself as the world's largest trade show for solar technology, and has earned an international reputation for bringing together the most successful companies in the international solar realm. At this year's June event in Munich, Germany, around 900 exhibitors will present to an audience of 40,000 visitors across almost 820,000 gross square feet of exhibitor floor space.
Due in large part to this reputation, exhibitors who annually attend the European exhibition and come from the likes of Germany, Spain, France, China, India and elsewhere, plan to attend this year's inaugural Intersolar North America show to market their goods and services and explore the growing opportunities for solar energy in the United States. Intersolar North America will take place from July 15-17 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California and will be held in conjunction with SEMICON West 2008 to incorporate the broad base of attendees in the complimentary markets of semiconductor and nano-electronics manufacturing and development and better serve the worldwide solar industry. The event will cover 350,000 net square feet and draw some 200 solar companies from around the world. Some international companies who have already confirmed their attendance include: ersol Solar Energy AG (Germany), Scheuten Solar Holding (Netherlands), Xantrex Technology Inc. (Canada), Elettronica Santerno (Italy), Siliken Modules (Spain), Yingli New Energy Resources Co. (China), Solar Semiconductor (India) and Grand Solar Korea Co., Ltd. (South Korea).
Intersolar North America will draw more than heritage and exhibitors from its European counterpart. The San Francisco event will also hold a very special symposium session, "Solar Gigawatts for Europe -- Status Perspectives European Solar Markets and Industries," which will be a sister performance of the "Solar Gigawatts for North America" symposium held in Munich. The two symposiums combine to provide and excellent forum for establishing transatlantic networks, and developing business opportunities between the North American and European continents in the ever-expanding global solar marketplace. In San Francisco, European experts will share their insights on sales trends in relation to current energy policies and how to best bridge business opportunities between continents.
"The Intersolar brand is increasingly seen as the most effective industry platform to reach the world's solar energy market," said Solar Promotion International's chief executive, Markus Elsasser. "We are indeed honored to launch Intersolar North America as a continuation of this legacy, to draw the international solar audience even closer together and seek out potential for new business in this exploding solar energy environment," he said.
