Nanosphere, Inc., (Nasdaq:NSPH), which develops, manufactures and markets advanced molecular diagnostics systems, will report its results for the first quarter of 2008 after the market closes on Tuesday, May 13, 2008. The company will also hold a live investor conference call and webcast at 5:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time.

Annual Meeting

Nanosphere also announced it will hold its first annual shareholders meeting as a public company, in downtown Chicago, at 9:00 A.M., Central Time, on Thursday, May 29. The meeting will take place at the Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago hotel, located at 909 North Michigan Avenue.

The agenda for the meeting will include:

-- Election of directors

-- Ratify the audit committee's selection of Deloitte & Touche LLP
as the company's independent auditors

-- Transact such other business as may properly come before
the annual meeting.

After completion of the annual meeting's formal agenda, William Moffitt, Nanosphere' President and Chief Executive Officer, will provide an overview discussion of the company's progress in 2007 and early 2008.
