Representatives from the Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) and six of the state's economic development entities are marketing Colorado as a desirable medical device manufacturing hub at the 24th annual Medical Device & Manufacturing (MD&M) West Expo. The announcement is made by Chris Shapard, CBSA Deputy Director, who says more than 16,000 product development professionals are
attending the industry's largest event in Anaheim, CA, January 29-31, 2008.

"The MD&M West Expo allows us to showcase Colorado's numerous attributes in the medical device segment to the leaders in the industry," Shapard says. "According to the most recent Battelle industry statistics, Colorado, Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs all rank high by various criteria in the medical device manufacturing sector. We have a lot to offer to medical device companies looking to relocate or expand operations in Colorado."

The six economic development organizations attending MD&M West with CBSA include: Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation, Broomfield Economic Development Corporation, City of Westminster, Jefferson Economic Council, Arvada Economic Development Association and the Colorado Springs Economic Development Corporation.
