NaturalNano, Inc. (OTCBB: NNAN) (FWB: N3N), a developer of advanced nanomaterials and extended release nanotechnologies, today announced that President and Chief Technology Officer Cathy Fleischer, Ph.D. will be presenting at the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Best of Polymer Nanocomposites Conference.
NaturalNano and one of its joint development partners, Noble Polymers, a fully owned subsidiary of Cascade Engineering (www.cascadeng.com), a leader in engineered plastic systems and components, are collaborating as part of the e-Learning series sponsored by the SPE focused on the applications of Halloysite Nanotubes (HNT(TM)) in Polymer composites. Fleischer's presentation is scheduled for 11 a.m. EST, Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008.
"The growth of the plastics industry, coupled with the almost daily breakthroughs in nanocomposites, provides an excellent platform for NaturalNano to exhibit our industry-leading applications for Halloysite Nanotubes," said Fleischer. "It's an honor to be recognized as an expert source on the next generation of nanocomposites and to present with our partners Cascade Engineering, and we look forward to sharing our successes with the plastics industry."
Fleisher's presentation and findings are being co-authored by Noble Polymers, a leader in high-performance, customizable plastics solutions and a subsidiary of Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Cascade, Engineering, a leader in the development, engineering and manufacturing of plastics solutions. Cascade and Noble have validated the unique properties of NaturalNano's premiere product, Pleximer(TM), through manufacturing scale testing for multiple industries, including the furniture and automotive industries.
NaturalNano (www.naturalnano.com) said it will also highlight the numerous consumer industry applications of Pleximer, its patented turn-key nanocomposite additive which creates stronger, lighter and less expensive products. Pleximer has received multiple third-party validations by industry leaders for uses in multiple products, including Cascade Engineering and the Nylon Corporation of America.
