Culture of research and development is vital
Abstract:
New textiles-based applications, manufacturing processes and technologies require considerable investment in research and product development.
The main thrust of research breakthroughs is occurring outside the discipline of pure textiles sciences. Research developments in informatics, chemistry, physics, biotechnology, materials sciences and nanotechnology are driving breakthroughs in new textiles-based materials applications.
