BioMicro Systems Announces the Appointment of Rob Parry as the Vice President of Manufacturing

SALT LAKE CITY, UT | Posted on February 20th, 2007

BioMicro Systems is a private company that serves the life sciences community by developing and marketing biological research products based on its proprietary microfluidic and microarray technologies.

Mr. Parry has held top level manufacturing positions in several instrument and consumable businesses. Most recently, he established and expanded the manufacturing operations for Nanosys, Inc., a leading nanotechnology company. As Vice President of Manufacturing at Fluidigm, a microfluidics start-up, and prior to that at Agilent Technologies in the DNA microarray business, Mr. Parry successfully developed and scaled-up commercial production for two completely novel technologies. His innovative and effective leadership delivered cost effective processes with consistent high quality and availability of products.

"I am excited to have Rob Parry in a pivotal role at BioMicro Systems as we implement an aggressive growth strategy targeting a broader customer base," stated Michael Feldman, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of BioMicro Systems. "He brings extensive experience in both DNA microarrays and microfluidics forming an excellent fit with the BioMicro Systems growing product line."

Mr. Parry added, "I look forward to joining a growing company with a technology and product line that has already been validated by successful sales. I am anxious to contribute my breadth of knowledge and experience in further building the company's manufacturing and quality systems."

Mr. Parry received a B.S.M.E. from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and an M.S. from MIT in Operations Management and Technology Innovation.
