Region wins jobs grant

Abstract:
"The challenge is to close the skills gap," U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao said in announcing the grants. "There are emerging high-growth industries that require a different set of skills," she said, citing healthcare, life sciences, nanotechnology and advanced manufacturing as "emerging industries."
