State may lose $330M for special projects

Abstract:
Mostly spared from the decision was Vanderbilt University, which will share nearly $16 million with other universities for research on nanotechnology and other subjects. Those projects were in the Defense Department spending bill, one of two that passed Congress and was signed into law.
