Nanotechnology: the next big thing in technology?

Abstract:
Nanotechnology, where matter is manipulated to near atomic scale, is predicted to result in $2.6 billion in manufactured goods annually within the next ten years and will fundamentally change the ways things are done, according to Andrew Maynard, chief science advisor of the Project on Emerging Nanotechnologies for the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
