Semiconductor nanocrystals photosensitize fullerene molecules

Abstract:
Researchers from Ludwig Maximilians University, Germany, Belarusian State University, Belarus, and the University of Hamburg in Germany have photosensitized needle-like C60 crystals by combining them with semiconductor nanocrystals. The resulting composite films could have applications in spectrally tuneable photodetectors, in photocopiers or in photovoltaic devices.
