Educators, lawmakers hopeful about lottery-funded program

Abstract:
Some of the proceeds from South Carolina's lottery have paid for eight endowed chairs at the state's research universities. The research areas of the approved endowed chair positions have focused on nanotechnology, health sciences, fuel-cell development and safety.
