Colleges, students get some help from state
Abstract:
The Legislature approved funding for the operation of the UW's biomedical research facilities in South Lake Union, a new genome-sciences department building on campus and its recently formed Department of Global Health. It also agreed to pay for a new nanotechnology laboratory, which the UW is hoping to build to lure a top scientist to campus.
