VC funding slow to find area's nanotech gems
Abstract:
Only one local nanotech startup firm out of 143 nanotech startups nationally has received money from a venture fund in the past decade.
That designation goes to Evident Technologies Inc., considered the region's oldest pure nanotech company, according to a study conducted by Lux Research, which tracked VC investments from 1995 to 2005.
