University projects in fiscal 2006

Abstract:
A sampling of what Kentucky and Indiana universities and colleges received in fiscal 2006 spending bills, along with the names of the lawmakers who obtained the money:

University of Louisville - $2.1 million: Research into nanowire technology for missile defense. (McConnell)

University of Kentucky - $3.5 million: UK will receive a share of this for its work in the Advanced Carbon Nanotechnology Program Consortium. (McConnell)
