K-State Professor Named Top Innovator by Popular Mechanics

Abstract:
Ken Klabunde has had many titles during his distinguished career -- scientist, educator, inventor. He can now add another one: toxic avenger. One of eight innovators honored this year by the magazine, Klabunde is recognized for his research in the development of FAST-ACT(R), a toxin-neutralizing nanopowder that offers a potent defense against chemical attack.
