Sandia: Today and tomorrow
Abstract:
Another complex devoted to ... nanotechnology is also under construction. The Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT), a joint project of SNL and LANL, will have its core facility outside the fence in Albuquerque.
Neal Shinn, the User Program Manager of CINT, described new frontiers of discovery, including a "smart scalpel" that will enable doctors to monitor a patient's biological indicators in real time during operations and nanofilters that could help provide safer, cleaner and more drinkable water.
