Added flexibility for plastic displays

Abstract:
In the not-too-distant future, flexible plastic displays will probably surpass the ubiquity of current rigid LCD displays. Leading the manufacturing charge to translate innovative display R&D into consumer products is Cambridge-based growth company Plastic Logic.

Plastic Logic develops and licenses manufacturing technologies used to produce printed plastic electronic circuits. The company utilises a low temperature process - which avoids the need for vacuum deposition or mask alignment - to fabricate low cost, large area, high resolution transistor arrays on plastic substrates.
