U.S. said to clear KLA-Tencor's bid for August

Abstract:
The U.S. Justice Department has cleared the way for KLA-Tencor Corp. to pursue an unsolicited $205 million offer to acquire rival semiconductor equipment maker August Technology Corp., KLA said on Wednesday.
